Playlist Generator FX is a multi-compatible platform that lets you listen to media files over the internet by generating a jukebox type playlist. It will automatically update media files by automatically scanning folders and generating HTMLs. It also supports the following file types: Windows Media Player, WinAmp, and Real Player.
Media is Unix compatible and lets you generate .ram, .asx files and stores these to databases. You only need to put a link to the script. It also can prevent unwanted users from linking to your media files.
Mediwrap is both Unix and Windows compatible and will transparently handle files. Supports RealMedia and MPEG files, but can also handle non-multimedia files. It supports WinAmp, Real Player, and Microsoft Media Player.
RealMusic Jukebox is a Unix based program that lets users configure song lists. It creates .rpm files that allow users to listen to the media selection from a browser even without having to open Real Player.
MIMESLAPPER!! is a multi-platform compatible program that allows you to configure via a hard variable, or via a specialized url tag, which mime-type header you`d like to send to the users browser, in order to successfully play mp3 files from url links. This is also a good workaround for servers which have no mime-type headers set for mp3 files, because of this lack of standard, as well as for those webmasters who may need additional mime-type headers sent with select mp3 files. This script is intended to be a quick fix, and not to become a substitute for proper apache configuration.MimeSlapper would be suitable to deal with other apache mime-type difficulties as well, by changing the mime-types in the script.
Mp3riot is both a Unix and Linux compatible command line utility that searches recursively through directories, builds a file list (with additional file information), and generates html files, plylists, etc. The output can be controlled, links can be corrected, and more. The script is mainly desigend to create Web pages, playlists, and databases for mp3-files, but can also used for other purposes.
Wavtoreal is both a Unix and Linux compatible small perl script written for use with a console-based realproducer. It is sometimes hard to remember all the options and switches you have with this program. This script asks you several options, you fill them in and then the real-audio-file is generated. At this moment, I`ve written it only for wav-files, because I use this a lot ... but it`s quite easy to change it to also for movies and so on.
